i’m an extremely proud canucks fan. no, not because of the team, but because of the organization. how they have worked together from top to bottom to create help, and a great website mindcheck.ca to raise awareness for mental illness. kevin bieksa is not a hockey player anymore, he’s a voice of inspiration to many who are struggling. rick rypien is not just a hockey player anymore. while he’s no longer here, he is still making a difference, and no doubt smiling down on what the canucks have done.

i’ve seen family members and friends go through mental illness. i don’t care if we’ve spoken 100 times or we’ve never spoke, if you are struggling and feel alone, please don’t hesitate to come to me. it’s not something you should do alone. i’m here, and you have so many other people on this site that can help you. remember that.
